About Space To Be
Space to Be was created in response to something that is so often overlooked in traditional coaching — the body. In many spaces, coaching is focused on thinking, planning, or fixing. But our bodies hold deep wisdom. They carry the signals, instincts, and truths that we often ignore or override.
In a world shaped by pressure, social media comparison, and constant messages that we need to be more or do more, Space to Be offers something different. It is a space to slow down. To reconnect. To listen to the quiet parts of yourself that often get drowned out.
We believe that you already have the answers — you may have just lost access to them. When you create space, stillness, and a sense of safety, those answers begin to rise again.
It’s about being with yourself.
This work is not about following formulas or forcing change. It’s not about striving to become someone new. It’s about learning to be with yourself as you are. To understand what your body is telling you. To hold yourself with compassion while also taking responsibility for the life you want to create.
Our values are rooted in openness, honesty, and wholeness. We believe in radical responsibility — not as a form of blame, but as a path back to power. And we believe that wholeness includes every part of you, even the ones you’ve been taught to hide.
When people enter this space, they are met fully. They are held. They are seen — often in ways they’ve never experienced before. This is a space where you don’t have to perform. You don’t have to have it all together. You are allowed to be human here — completely, imperfectly, and honestly.
The Founder
Space to Be was founded by Nicola Crooks-Ramgeet — a somatic coach, qualified hypnotherapist, and accredited Thinking Partner. She also brings a background in leadership, education, and mathematics, but her work is rooted in something deeper: a commitment to helping people come home to themselves.
Before founding her private practice, Nicola held senior and director-level roles in education, where she led cultural change, turned around struggling teams, and coached managers through high-stakes challenges. She has managed complex interpersonal dynamics, worked with difficult individuals, and held space for others while leading under pressure. Her leadership style was grounded in care and accountability — even when the work was heavy.
She knows what it means to carry responsibility for others while quietly burning out herself. That lived experience continues to shape how she supports people now: with honesty, compassion, and deep respect for the nervous system.
Nicola trained at The Somatic School, completing an ICF-accredited qualification in body-oriented coaching. She is a trained Thinking Partner, and a clinical hypnotherapist with over 20 years’ experience supporting people to shift deep-rooted patterns. Her approach blends somatic awareness, systemic constellations, Hakomi principles, and the belief that real transformation happens when we stop performing and start listening to our body.
For much of her life, Nicola tried to get everything right. Like many, she spent years searching for perfect answers, trying to be the perfect person, and putting everyone else’s needs first. She knows what it means to disconnect from your body, your voice, and your truth.
Now, through daily practice and ongoing self-trust, she has created a different way of living and leading — and Space to Be is an extension of that. This space is built not just from theory, but from experience. From her own return to self. And from the belief that others deserve that return too.
